While the war and crisis in Ukraine continues, thousands of refugees have left their homes and are fleeing to safety in surrounding countries. The situation has displaced hundreds of dogs, cats, and other cherished pets – many in need of food, shelter, and veterinary care.

We know many in World Vets’ community share our concern for the pets and people of Ukraine. World Vets is mobilizing its international aid network and organizing funds and resources to assist pets in need.

Dr. Marty Becker, veterinarian, founder of the “Fear Free” movement, and member of World Vets’ Advisory Board, is heading near the Ukrainian borders of Romania and Moldova to coordinate efforts with our existing local partners in these two countries. Through these partners, World Vets will be providing ongoing free veterinary services to pets from Ukraine that are in need of care.

As World Vets steps in to help, we are asking our supporters to contribute to our efforts. We urge you to join us in this special mission to provide essential veterinary aid and support.
