Training & Capacity Building

Our work continues, but due to the COVID-19 global pandemic we are currently not accepting volunteers on international projects. Please check back later for new volunteer projects in the future.

1) International Veterinary Medicine Program

World Vets International Veterinary Medicine (IVM) Program is designed for veterinary, pre-veterinary and technician students who wish to gain clinical and practical experience and be immersed into international veterinary medicine.  Students will receive hands-on instruction in a wide variety of clinical and surgical activities and participate in various field operations such as community outreach, data collection and much more.

This program also provides volunteer opportunities for licensed veterinarians as well as licensed veterinary technicians in the capacity of instructor at the surgical training center. Instructors need to apply for these positions.  Please send an email to info@worldvets.org and include a copy of your CV/resume and current license to get started!

Please note: World Vets International Veterinary Medicine program is taught in English. For safety purposes, students must have sufficient fluency in written and spoken English to participate. Students not fluent in English may contact us for alternative training opportunities that may better accommodate their language skills at info@worldvets.org. See the FACEBOOK PAGE

For over 15 years World Vets has been helping animals and building up local veterinary capacity all over the globe. We have provided veterinary resources and training to hundreds of veterinarians and students in underserved communities across the world. Participants have gone on to successfully improve the lives of animals and add to the future sustainability of their own communities.
