If you would like to be considered as a volunteer for disaster relief with World Vets, you will either need to be a licensed veterinarian, experienced veterinary technician or have specific disaster training. You will also be required to have fulfilled the following free FEMA online courses:
IS-10.a – Animals in Disasters: Awareness and Preparedness
IS-11.a – Animals in Disasters: Community Planning
IS – 100.b – Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS – 100
And you will need to send us copies of your FEMA certificates and credentials (i.e. a current CV with relevant experience and/or training you’ve received in relation to disaster response and/or relief) to info@worldvets.org.
