Dear World Vets Supporters:
Many of you know our mission is to provide veterinary aid in developing countries and disaster relief worldwide. However, without careful management of financial resources it would be impossible to achieve our mission. For this reason, two of our core practices are prudent financial stewardship and transparency to our donors.
Over 90% of our incoming revenue goes toward direct program service to help animals around the world . World Vets has earned the Guidestar Exchange Seal signifying a commitment to transparency and has also achieved the highest rating on Great Nonprofits where we were named a Top-Rated Charity in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2014, World Vets was awarded the prestigious Classy Award, presented in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. This award involved a yearlong discovery process that evaluated over 3600 organizations worldwide based on program impact, transparency, organizational effectiveness and resource management. World Vets was selected as the top Animal and Wildlife Welfare organization worldwide for 2014. We are proud of these results!
Furthermore, we are able to multiply and leverage the impact of every dollar donated by utilizing highly skilled and dedicated veterinary volunteers. Our volunteer program is top notch and not only lends itself to high level of transparency of our work but has enabled us to effectively and efficiently operate a global organization with a very small paid staff.
World Vets invites you to take a deeper look into our financials. Our financial information and IRS 990 forms can be accessed on Guidestar, the trusted source for information on all US charities. The important work that we do to help animals depends on your generous support. None of this would be possible without your donation. We thank you for your support.
