Job Description- Veterinary Inventory and Project Coordinator
World Vets, founded in 2006, is an international veterinary aid organization working in 46 developing countries and also providing international disaster relief services. World Vets is currently seeking an Inventory and Project Coordinator, a position based at the organization’s Gig Harbor office. Candidate will regularly collaborate and communicate with remote employees and Field Service Veterinarians while working in a modern, casual and inspiring work environment. World Vets has a large volunteer base (over 1000 veterinarians) and a small efficient staff. Every employee of World Vets plays a major role in the success of the organization. Job Type- Part-time 25 hours/week; Monday- Thursday 9am to 4pm.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Inventory Management
Oversee all areas of inventory including (but not limited to) procurement, cost-saving strategies, packing and shipping project supplies, disaster response shipments, maintaining inventory counts, monitor expiration dates to rotate stock, organization of supplies, asset tracking, etc. Process paperwork for inventory and cargo shipments. Routine maintenance of veterinary equipment. Help guarantee the success of World Vets international programs by making sure appropriate and necessary supplies are where they need to be when they need to be there.

Grants Management
Track and monitor progress of foundation grants, maintain accurate files of receipts and spending, produce and submit grant progress reports. Maintain accurate and organized files of all grants.

Pack and ship volunteer kits.
Process and ship merchandise orders and returns
Maintain up to date DEA records.
Procurement and management of corporate product donations
Maintain records and rosters for RACE-approved CE program
Contribute to the day to day operation of the office including answering phones (secondary phone support with low call volume), recycling, maintaining office machines and supplies, researching information for various projects etc.
Ad Hoc projects as needed
Other duties as needed

Preferred Education/Experience – Associated degree in Veterinary technology plus one year of relevant work experience OR 3 years experience in a veterinary environment

Required Skills
Prefer licensed veterinary technician but other candidates with relevant experience will be considered
Strong familiarity and knowledge of veterinary pharmaceuticals, equipment and supplies
Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to accurately calculate drug dosages and dilutions
Strong planning, organizational, time management, communications and multi-tasking skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Strong computer proficiency, organizational and record keeping skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
General computer competency (working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, basic IT troubleshooting, etc.).

Position is well suited for a very organized and detail oriented candidate who enjoys working on an important cause in an office environment.
