ROATAN, HONDURAS

This is our annual trip to Roatan, Honduras.  As in past years, we will be providing free spay/neuter services as well as lots of medical consultation.  This is a great trip for students to learn and practice surgical techniques.  Dr Winnie Krogman from New Hampshire is the project leader for this trip.

DISASTER RESPONSE-NORTH DAKOTA

  • Days: 8
  • Record flooding of the Red River in Fargo, North Dakota lead to evacuations all over the city.  Many animals were displaced due to the flood.  World Vets worked with the Fargo/Moorhead Humane Society and other animal rescue groups to provide aid to both large and small animals.  World Vets provided 24/7 on-call emergency veterinary services for animals displaced by the flood or those needing evacuation.

PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP 2009

  • Pacific Partnership is a humanitarian aid mission carried out in collaboration with the US Military, partner nations and NGO's.  Volunteers live on board a Navy ship.  2009 projects included Small Animal, Livestock, Public Health and Education.  Locations included Tonga, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Kirabati and the Marshall Islands.

  • Pacific Partnership is a humanitarian aid mission carried out in collaboration with the US Military, partner nations and NGO's.  Volunteers live on board a Navy ship and provide veterinary service ashore.  Tentative location for 2010 is Southeast Asia.  More details will be available in  early 2010.  Minimum commitment is 2 weeks.
