A TRIBUTE TO JASMINE
Lead the Way
Jasmine was such a wonderful dog and my best friend.  She brought so much joy to my life.  Losing her leaves an ache in my heart, but when I think about her – from our daily walks to hearing her footsteps in the house in the middle of the night – I find she left pawprints in my life that remain with a lasting permanence.
Jasmine taught me many things, with her unconditional love and enthusiasm.  She taught me to never pass up an opportunity to go for a walk – it’s good for the body, the mind, and the spirit to get outside and see what God created in nature.  She would sleep upside down or roll over for belly rubs because she knew it was good to change your perspective, plus the attention was always welcome!  Jasmine would bark at the gray jays and ravens, and chase the chipmunks even though she didn’t catch them, the point was in the trying.  She remained a puppy at heart, having fun playing with just about anything from rocks to cardboard tubes to foam balls.
In everything she did Jasmine reminded me the point is to Live.  The pawprints she left on my heart have changed my life forever.  I realize I am not alone, for she still walks life’s paths with me and someday we will once again walk the trails together.
So what do you think, Jas. . . do you want to go for a walk?  Lead the way!
